You can start to increase your jaw movements by eating soft meats like chicken, fish and ham about 3 weeks after your surgery. You will probably see that after only a little bit of chewing your jaw will get tired. This can last for up to 2 to 3 months until your jaw muscles get used to the new position of your jaw.
